RW Ranch provides those rarest of qualities in a noisy world—serenity and silence. A sense of deep peace and calm prevails here. The desert/mountain setting is extraordinarily beautiful, and the grounds are tended with care and devotion. Colorful parks and gardens…a tumbling stream and placid ponds…and a regal session space…all enhance a feeling of spiritual renewal and inner peace.
The Ranch lies at an altitude of 3,700 feet in the high-desert foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, about 100 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The small town of Lucerne Valley is 8 miles east. Victorville, Apple Valley, and Hesperia are 15 miles west, and the Big Bear Lake mountain resort area is 30 miles south. Ontario International Airport is one hour away. Los Angeles and Orange County International Airports are two-and-a-half hours away.
Door-to-door commercial shuttle service is available from all airports.
Our 1,800-square-foot session space is airy and spacious, with a high coffered ceiling, plush carpeting, and a state-of-the-art, 360-degree sound system.
The Ranch is a place for quiet spiritual contemplation. You will find meditation sites throughout the Ranch, each offering privacy, seclusion, and a distinctive setting. Some are set within colorful gardens or beside ponds and a tumbling stream. Others are open to the sky amid our vast high-desert landscape. Trails lead to a magnificent terraced-stone meditation site and a medicine wheel on the nearby Healing Hill.
The spiritual work of the Royal Way community extends to maintaining and caring for landscaped parks, intimate flower gardens, a lush lawn, a grape arbor, two organic fruit orchards, a spring-fed stream, and three ponds. These provide a variety of serene settings for spiritual/religious meditation and contemplation. The Ranch is a true desert oasis, landscaped to enhance the inner journey.
Groups that practice yoga and tai chi will appreciate the Ranch’s amenities dedicated to those expressions of spirituality.
Our Yoga Retreat House features desert views and a 1,200-square-foot yoga/meditation room with hardwood flooring.
Our huge tai chi field is surrounded by a hand-built stone wall and soaring cypress trees. Its soft rubberized surface feels like a giant yoga mat.
We offer abundant, healthful meals, prepared and served with love and devotion. Main courses emphasize chicken and fish. Many of our fresh ingredients come from our organic vegetable garden and orchards. We are happy to accommodate vegetarians. The dining room overlooks a cypress-ringed lawn, with a view that extends across the desert to nearby mountain ranges.
